If you want to start a project which has nothing to do with a new language, put the request on this page.

Requests with Main Pages demosEdit

  • Project name.

Urgîn/Argalish. A new language.

  • Language.

Urgîn/Argalish. I don't think men on the earth would know what it is. This is an ancient language that it even forgot itself.

  • Existing content.

The first page is to state what Argalish is; a å b c d ǽ e f g h i î j k l ll m n o p q r rr s t u v w x y z are the letters used in Argalish.

  • Software and license. Unless otherwise indicated, software is MediaWiki and license is CC-BY-NC-SA (as this combination is compatible with Uncyclopedia, Ikkepedia and the like). If there are specific applications or extensions which will be needed to start your project, say so.

A proposal must have +2 score to have significant support. IP votes count as half a vote.

Old prussian. New uncy?Edit

The Prussian Uncyclopedia

Personally, I'm sorry if I'm resurrecting the topic but I found an old Prussian hsahsjhasuhasha Wikipedia kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk unofficial. Instead of accepting an unmet uncy in Dalmatian, they do not recognize the old Prussian. I know it would be sure to ask for this gift to Santa Claus, but I have the chance to see a uncy in a language where not Wikipedia itself acknowledges.  Rhubella Marie, the rat sockpreppie 3,563 preppiedits  02:19, 22 August 2011 (UTC)

  • For  Rhubella Marie, the rat sockpreppie 3,563 preppiedits  13:31, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
  • Against: Ainu language is not a dialect of Japanese language. It's completely different (see wikipedia:Ainu language for linguistic detail). As far as I see no article in the Miraheze site is written in Ainu language. Almost all articles there are stolen ones from ja.uncyclopedia.info with incomplete authorship credit. Is this a new type of satire that Ainu language is nearly extinct? One more problem. Founder of the Miraheze site is claiming that the site is governed dictatorially by them[3]. I doubt whether good humor and/or satire can be released under such government. Reconsider please.--User:2nd-player 16:47, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
  • For: Los créditos de copyright parecen válidos.
  • For: Even if they haven't finished translations, they can be gradually done (or even never be completely done, as seen in most abandoned projects or in German projects). We don't care whether a minor language in the far east is Japanese or not. Did you know that Taiwanese and HongKongnese are different languages but they share the same wiki? What we do care is that the Ainu people live in Hokkaido, Japan. Because of it, we can say from a broader view that Ainu is part of the Japanese Languages. Copyrights? They can be protected by parodies and I don't really care too much whether they are legal. That's what we usually do (if you really care about copyrights, I recommend you just join the «so-called experts»). Monsieur Verdoux (talk) 19:52, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
  • Against: The original have problems on edit but no problems on read. The fork's main page does not mention "fork". It is aimed to confuse the reader by saying "formal" rather than "fork". and I think that voting by some users who don't contribute in all language versions is majority work. It is prudent to be ignored.--Dareka (talk) 23:11, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
    • Comment: Fork is technically a neutral term applies to both Ansaikuropedias. The "official" English Uncyclopedia (en.uncyclopedia.co) is also a fork but it doesn't refer to it, either (nor does the "original" Uncyclopedia on Wikia (uncyclopedia.wikia.com)). This means that there aren't any needs to say for both Ansaikuropedias that it is a forked version. Ishkr Ismal (talk) 03:53, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
  • Strong For: I welcome their proposal because unlike en.uncyclopedia.co, they are trying to co-exist with their fork. On the other hand, the Japs from the original are clearly trying to colonize our community. Voting right here is an internal affair, and unlike the autocratic Ansaikuropedia infamous for having strict regulations, we are more democratic to open our rights to everyone - literally "everyone". It is this lack of generosity that the Japs have proven so far, which will only add up to the legitimacy of the fork. Ishkr Ismal (talk) 03:53, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
  • 0.5 For Mistaken blocks are a lot in Ansaikuropedia, but still I love it, therefore weak for.--Nanahoshi (talk) 04:39, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
  • For: As one of the founders of the original Ansaikuropedia, I am most reluctant to say I have to support the new Ansaikuropedia on Miraheze. However, the Japanese community is too corrupted that I cannot tolerate their tyranny.--Ryoske (talk) 05:16, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
  • Against: I am hoping that Japanese-Uncyclopedia will not divide any more. 私はアンサイクロペディアがこれ以上分裂しない事を願っています。-- (talk) 07:53, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
  • Against: I object to the appearance of the fork as a admin of the original. Though the fork is an entire copy, it was made without any consultation suddenly. I think such act must be banned as a thing causing useless confusion and division, so we should not approve it.--Demian (talk) 01:26, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
  • For: The license allows anyone to fork a wiki at their own will. I hear in Japan, to act against the administrators is a good enough reason to block users. This means that people can never have a discussion to create a fork even though they have problems including but not limited to technical ones (because to plan to fork itself is an action against their administration, or, probably dictatorship). Taking into consideration the environment they are in, forking without discussion is an acceptable option, imho.--CHUN-LEE (LOG) 05:47, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
Comment: By my understanding, the fork was not made for he relief of a blocked user but for refuge from malfunction of the original[5]. It's my reason why I think the fork will cause confusion and the division. It seems that many people in UnMeta consider a fork to be a relief place, but there is doubt whether it really becomes so. Additionally, I want that the original revises an error and to retain it even if a fork is permitted. In spite of the malfunction, many people still cooperate with a building of the original.--Demian (talk) 09:01, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
Comment: The sitenotice not only guides refugees because of technical errors to use the fork, but also welcomes those who are blocked by the original project by mistake. I know some of the users listed here are, in fact, victims of your misjudgement.--The Pioneer (talk) 10:01, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
P. S. I mean "your" in a collective way, to make myself clear (it is not a problem limited to you, Demian, but to the whole Japanese administration).--The Pioneer (talk) 10:04, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
Comment: I don't intend to deny the need of the relief for the victims. But, even from an account name either, I cannot confirm if some of the person who gathered there are victims. Even if it's true, why may you trust the founder? The original has been attacked destructively during a long term. Unfortunately I cannot be convinced that this matter taking advantage of original malfunction is not the part.--Demian (talk) 02:48, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
Comment: Some are using different names. You have to collect data across different wikis to find out who they are (and I do understand that it's not easy). The founder him/herself claims to be a victim of a massive range block on Usopedia, for example. And I do understand there are massive LTA attacks across Japanese wikis (including but not limited to Wikipedia, Uncyclopedia, and Usopedia), but I don't think any LTAs could be smart enough to estimate the exact damage (which means, they would not have the ability to take advantage of it). How could they expect that the original wiki would suffer from that technical issue which even admins couldn't expect? I do trust the founder because s/he claims to be a student of the top university in Japan not only on wikis but also on twitter, and because it seems legit seeing his/her intelligence.--The Pioneer (talk) 09:22, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
Comment: I described the founder of the fork as not a direct attacker but a person taking advantage of the malfunction. In addition, my biggest concern is a blow to the original brought by the fork. It has the same appearance, use the name of "Uncyclopedia" and raises Sofia, in spite of incomplete import and arbitrary policy. I'm afraid general users who are unrelated to this problem may be confused.--Demian (talk) 02:33, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
Comment: Uncyclopedia on wikia had some damage but overcame. They have more articles than the "official" but a forked Uncyclopedia. Different Uncyclopedias can have different policies and what you pointed out is merely an internal affair. Todaiin (talk) 05:02, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
comment: I hope you are running not to smash the original but to be coexistence. Can you say so?--Demian (talk) 08:13, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
Comment: If we are to destroy the original, I don't think the founder would post this request from the first place. At least, personally speaking, I do welcome the coexistence of both uncyclopedias.--The Pioneer (talk) 10:19, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
Comment: Thank you for your comment, but I'd like the founder own to answer.--Demian (talk) 10:39, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
Comment: We can co-exist as long as the original admits it. We don't have any intentions to smash the original in any ways. Todaiin (talk) 09:44, 11 August 2018 (UTC)
  • For As a matter of fact, we German have three Uncyclopedias; Kamelopedia, Stupidedia, and the German Uncyclopedia. Each of them has diffrent lanugage codes assigned, but they all, in practice, use plain German (except for, perhaps, the main page). I saw a vandal from the original wiki trying to manipulate the votes, but I think the Japanese should be more generous to the fork. Having two or three versions is definitely acceptable. • Comment: I welcome the idea. but I wonder that there are too many newborn accounts in supportive votes, and vandal as position to against are too simple. --Slkot (talk) 15:23, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
    • Comment: Some of those who are against are also newborn (at least, on UnMeta). After all, I guess a lot of people are interested in this topic. Please also note that there was this massive vandal repeatedly voting against using sockpuppets, as seen in the link above provided by Quattro Bajeena or seen here. It may be true that not all of those who are against are vandals, but it's also true that some are indeed vandals.--The Pioneer (talk) 06:11, 8 August 2018 (UTC)
      • Comment: I do not think with the news that world people pay attention to. Did somebody lobby for?--Demian (talk) 03:09, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
        • Comment: I'm not really sure what's going on behind the screen (maybe the founder might know it, though). However, IMHO, it is possible that the rumors have spread some how (as there are rumors on the bulletin board and elsewhere).--The Pioneer (talk) 09:22, 9 August 2018 (UTC)

It's obvious that people from the "Japanese" Uncyclopedia will try to disrupt the approved proposal by messing up the votes. Therefore, I propose the voting should be officially closed immediately; note that an admin on UnMeta has already moved this to the "approved" section. It is already APPROVED, waiting for Carlb to work on interwiki links.--The Pioneer (talk) 09:51, 5 August 2018 (UTC)

I'm sorry and I'm sorry for the naughty question but are you sure you want to place that order now? We are in a serious crisis of absent bureaucrats and a serious problem has arisen with another wiki. There looks to be just a front page created at https://stwpidpedia.miraheze.org and that errorneously lists many of the Uncyclopedia projects as being Wikia. Uncyclopedia has nothing to do with Wikia at this point; they have done immeasurable damage to the project and their branding should be removed from everything. I'm also unsure what's being requested here; is this a wiki that needs to be created or one that already exists and needs Special:Interwiki entries or something? Carlb (talk) 14:45, 14 August 2020 (UTC)
It turns out the wiki has Interwiki entries https://stwpidpedia.miraheze.org/wiki/%D0%90%D1%80%D0%BD%D0%B0%D0%B9%D1%8B:Interwiki Also the user who did it was a global interwiki adminstator. DeltaRedXtreme (talk) 15:55, 14 August 2020 (UTC)
To Carlb: As I understand it is a new wiki and as the case evolved the applicant warned me that he could go to Mihareze. I believe that the delay in sending the 2 emails, and in the meantime as I commented that you were on vacation (in fact I should say that I had caught coronavirus) may have induced that there would be no chance of returning.
To DeltaRedXtreme: I seem to forget that from that moment your wiki created in Miraheze and hold on to what I said a few hours ago. Build the wiki first as its sub-pages and as soon as the wiki is created transfer it there. The Miraheze version will eventually be deleted by the local administration.  Rhubella Marie, the rat sockpreppie 3,563 preppiedits  16:41, 14 August 2020 (UTC)
On the sub-page on the wiki i'm confused? DeltaRedXtreme (talk) 16:59, 14 August 2020 (UTC)

Upcoming new Languages for Uncyclopedia (from en:user talk:carlb)Edit

Brunei Uncyclopedia: Nakalpedia

Singapore Uncyclopedia: Marahpedia

Armenian Uncyclopedia: Ապքիփեդիա (Un’kyklo’yedia)

Welsh Uncyclopedia:Hurtynniadur

Thanks we Create new Project. --Assalamualaikum  my Talkneed work:File:AWSOME FACE.png 09:17, January 2, 2011 (UTC)

Welsh (Cymru) already has existed for some time now: cy.uncyclopedia.org.uk
Armenian also already exists on www.angragitaran.org
I'm not sure if "Singapore" is a language, aren't they Chinese (Simplified) - which exists but gets relatively little use compared to Taiwan's Chinese (Regular/Traditional script)? Or is there another language tag?
If there's demand and content for these, I am able to create them - but would need to know which ones already have a language code, project name, content to be moved onto a new wiki in order to do these. I'm likely easier to reach on e-mail (carlb at kingston.net) or on the meta.uncyclomedia.org wiki. --Carlb 05:19, August 6, 2011 (UTC)
The only relevant new idea is Icelandic. Domain should be is. in stead of ic. ? Though, I propose the name Ekkipedia (analogicly to Ikkepedia) and a corresponding domain for the project. I'm not a native speaker and there are no articles/interested users yet. So the project is not urgent. So - in advance - there it goes:

Carlb, I'm not saying that the request is not prohibitive. I think there may be a solution similar to that tivermons Neciklopedias with the former Yugoslavia.
  • On the Malay language, the research I did, is the official language in Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore, southern Thailand, the Philippines and Timor-Leste. Another issue seems to be the alphabet used.
  1. Rumi (Latin alphabet), Malay Variant (official in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia; co-official in Brunei)
  2. Jawi (Arabic script) (co-official in Brunei and Malaysia).

And, yes Tamil is spoken in these three countries mentioned. I had made a sketch of an application for Tamil, before you change it to Basque. However, due to time and even how to proceed before any conclusion of this conversation, including, I think we should ask the opinion of the user making the request for uncy required. I chose to dispose of the issue.  Rhubella Marie, the rat sockpreppie 3,563 preppiedits  15:40, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

We currently have Bahasa Malayu, which seems pretty much dead, and we have the Indonesian https://tolololpedia.org which is at least semi-active - is there any existing content to create 'min' as a separate wiki from these? Carlb (talk) 03:22, 13 June 2019 (UTC)

Please could you explain yourself better and if possible identify (your USERNAME) if the wiki is created?  Rhubella Marie, the rat sockpreppie 3,563 preppiedits  03:16, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
